Bocconi Acceptance Rate and Tuition: Admissions Statistics and English Requirements

Bocconi does not publish an acceptance rate or the number of applicants it admits. Its Rector reported about 9,100 bachelor's and law applications for 2024-25; Bocconi offers about 3,000 first-year places a year, and first-year tuition for 2026-27 is €17,000.

Bocconi University in Milan does not release admissions statistics in the form US universities do: there is no admit count and no acceptance rate. What it does publish is the approximate number of applications (in the Rector's address at the start of each academic year), the number of places in each program, how candidates are ranked and what tuition costs. This page sets out those official figures and the English test scores Bocconi accepts.

What the numbers mean

Bocconi ranks applicants by a weighted score: the Bocconi admission test counts for 55% and the grade point average of the third-last and second-last years of secondary school for 45%. There are two selection rounds, an Early session in the autumn and a Winter session, and Bocconi says competition is very intense and early applications can have greater chances of success.

About 3,000 first-year places are available. For 2027-28 entry Bocconi lists 2,645 places in its Undergraduate School — 690 each in Management (English) and Management (Italian), 460 in Finance, 230 each in Management for the Arts and Cultures and Management and Computer Science, and 115 each in Economics, Mathematical and Computing Sciences for AI and International Politics and Government — plus 320 in its School of Law (240 Law in Italian, 80 Global Law in English).

Comparing roughly 9,100 applications with about 3,000 places does not give an acceptance rate: Bocconi does not say how many applicants received offers, how many offers were declined, or whether the 9,100 counts people or applications. Rates quoted on other websites are not official figures.

Tuition and fees for students entering a Bachelor of Science or Law program in 2026-27 are €17,000 a year. The amount for 2027-28 entry has not been set yet, fees are adjusted for inflation over the course of the degree, and Bocconi offers partial waivers of 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% depending on each student's financial situation, plus separate full waivers.
