FAQ
Where do the acceptance rates on these pages come from?
From each university's own published figures, mainly its Common Data Set or institutional-research page. Each page lists its sources and the year of the data, and says so when a figure is not published instead of estimating it.
Do these pages list the TOEFL and IELTS minimums?
Yes. Each university page includes the English-proficiency requirement from the university's admissions page, with a link to it. Requirements change, so check the linked admissions page before you apply; since January 2026 the TOEFL iBT is also scored on a 1 to 6 scale.
Why does a university's acceptance rate differ between sites?
Rates depend on the class year, on whether the figure is for first-year applicants only, and on how applicants and admits are counted. We compute each rate from the published applicants and admits and show the class year next to it.
